Troubleshooting Custom Properties in Mixpanel Import API

Hey! I am using the Import API to add a number of historical events to Mixpanel. The events were imported into Mixpanel without any issues. However, my custom properties on the events are not showing in the lexicon. I also cannot filter on any of these properties in reports. Is there any action I need to take to have the ability to filter on my custom event properties?

Hi Josh- Julianne from Mixpanel Support here. Are the imported events older than 30 days? Only events and properties from the last 30 days will populate Lexicon and the drop-down menus. This is done to reduce clutter, but it can be confusing for historical events. If you want to use these properties in your reports, you can manually input the event or property name (case sensitive) and select it from the dropdown that appears to specify a value. Alternatively, you could send a batch of more recent data to populate the dropdowns. Inline Attachment: image.png
