Using Mixpanels native alerts seems a bit buggy. I have an alert that is based on an insight report getting any events: I've tried with above 0 and now trying -1 but despite there being content in the report, the alert isn't getting sent. Is there anything I can do to force the alert or make sure that it gets sent when the insight report gets > 0 events?
As you can see here, the alert has just been triggered but it's incorrect because there are two accounts with multiple events so I don't understand why the alert is showing 0
Hi Sam! Julianne from Mixpanel Support here. One common issue that can cause alerts to misfire is that the alert and report have gotten out of sync. This can happen if the report is updated after the alert is created. You can see if an alert is out of sync on the Alerts page, which can be accessed through your personal settings. If an alert is out of sync with the report, you will need to delete the alert and re-create it. Inline Attachment: image.png If that's not the issue, I'd recommend submitting a ticket through our webform that includes a link to the report firing the alert. A support engineer will be able to take a look at the specific report and alert setup to see what else could be happening.
Hi Julianne - thanks for your response. I've got a ticket open with support as the problem seems deeper than just the out of sync report.
