Yes, there is a total size limit for an individual event. Each event must be smaller than 1MB of uncompressed JSON [Import Events; Track Events].In addition to this total event size limit, there are several other structural constraints per event:
** Property Count: An event can have a maximum of 255 properties [Import Events; FAQ].
** Object/List Limits: While individual object or list properties have an 8KB limit, they are also restricted to a maximum of 255 keys (for objects) or 255 elements (for arrays) [List of Objects; Import Events].
** Nesting Depth: For properties that use nested objects, the maximum nesting depth is 3 levels [Import Events].
** String Length: Event property names and string values are generally limited to 255 characters/bytes; longer names will be truncated [FAQ; Supported Properties].If you are sending events in batches, each request to the /import or /track endpoints can contain up to 2,000 events and must not exceed 10MB of uncompressed JSON total [Import Events; Track Events].
