Can I create custom events properties? If not, why?
Hi Mélanie R., Please stand by as I search the Mixpanel knowledge base for an AI-powered answer. I normally take about 15 seconds or so. You can’t create new event properties at ingestion time from within the Mixpanel UI; properties on events must be sent from your code or integrations when the event is tracked. The docs only describe: - Sending event properties as part of events from your implementation or tools like Tealium/mParticle. [Events & properties; Tealium integration; mParticle integration] - Using Custom Properties to derive new properties in the UI from existing event/profile properties via formulas. These are “calculated on the fly” and can be used in reports, but they don’t change the raw events. [Custom properties]The knowledge sources do not mention any feature called “custom event properties” that would permanently add new properties to stored events after they’ve been ingested, which is why you can’t create them in that sense.

Mélanie R. Yes, you can create custom properties. Were you able to figure this out?
