kapa.ai How to create metric tree view in a growth plan?
Please stand by Alexander K. as I search the knowledge base. I normally take about 15 seconds or so. 👋

To create a metric tree view in a growth plan using Mixpanel, follow these steps: 1. Define Your Focus Metric (North Star): - Start by identifying the single most important metric that represents your business goal (e.g., revenue, weekly active users, customer lifetime value). This metric sits at the top of your metric tree and guides your growth strategy What is a metric tree?.2. Break Down Into Input Metrics: - Decompose your focus metric into primary drivers (L1 input metrics) that directly impact it. Continue breaking these down into L2, L3, etc., input metrics, mapping out the relationships and dependencies. Use both component (formula-based) and influence (correlated) relationships as needed Metric trees 101: A practical guide From metrics to events: How to build the best tracking schema for you.3. Collaborate and Build the Blueprint: - Involve cross-functional teams (product, marketing, sales, etc.) to ensure all relevant metrics and drivers are included. Use Mixpanel’s collaborative canvas to visually structure your tree, allowing for real-time editing and alignment How we designed Metric Trees for Mixpanel.4. Add Metrics to the Tree in Mixpanel: - In Mixpanel, use the Metric Tree feature (available on the Enterprise Plan) to create metric cards for each metric. Start with empty cards to outline your strategy, then connect each card to real data by linking saved or new metrics Docs: Metric Tree.5. Add Context and Ownership: - Enhance your tree by adding context, such as notes, strategy cards, or links to deeper reports. Assign owners to metrics to clarify accountability and ensure ongoing updates Beyond dashboards and canvases: How Metric Trees do data differently.6. Share and Operationalize: - Share your metric tree with your team for collaborative planning and regular review. Use it as a living document to guide weekly rituals, track progress, and quickly identify areas needing attention Metric trees 101: A practical guide.Tip: Start simple and iterate. Regularly review and update your metric tree as your growth plan evolves. For a detailed walkthrough, see the Mixpanel Metric Tree documentation.

Sorry Alexander K., I'm not sure what you mean. Please try again. 👋
kapa.ai I can't see any ui on mixpanel about metric trees. And the sample images of metric tree is not same our mixpanel board. We has only boards , insights , funnels, retention, heatmap.
Let me check the knowledge base for you again. One moment! 📚
The reason you do not see the Metric Trees UI in your Mixpanel workspace is likely because Metric Trees are a paid add-on available only to customers on the Enterprise Plan. If your Mixpanel account is not on the Enterprise Plan, or if the Metric Tree add-on has not been enabled for your organization, you will not see this feature in your UI. The standard Mixpanel features you mentioned—Boards, Insights, Funnels, Retention, and Heatmaps—are available on other plans, but Metric Trees require this specific add-on Docs: Metric Tree.Additionally, the images and examples you see in Mixpanel’s documentation or blog posts may not match your current UI if you do not have access to the Metric Trees feature. If you are interested in using Metric Trees, you would need to upgrade to the Enterprise Plan and request the add-on from Mixpanel Docs: Metric Tree.If you believe you should have access or want to learn more, you can contact Mixpanel sales for a demo or to discuss enabling Metric Trees for your account Introducing Metric Trees.
