How do I add the same report to a board twice with different visualizations? I dont want to individually maintain both versions afterwards.

You can’t have two independently-configured “copies” of a report that automatically stay in sync; when you add an existing report to a board, Mixpanel always creates a linked report, and any changes to that report are reflected in all its linked instances. [Sharing & permission]What you can do: 1. Add the same report multiple times as linked copies - From a board, use Add → Existing report and pick the same report twice, or use … → Make a Copy on an existing card to add it again to the board. [Adding content] - Each card is a linked report, so edits to the underlying report’s query (events, filters, etc.) will update all of them.2. Use per-card visualization controls only - If you change only the visualization settings that are stored with the board card (e.g., arrangement/size on the board), those can differ per card. - But if you change the report definition itself, all linked instances update together. [Sharing & permission]The docs do not describe a way to keep two different visualizations of the same report definition that both stay auto-synced while having independent chart settings, beyond what’s possible via linked reports as described above.
