is there anyway to check users that did an event in a month, were inactive for 6 months, and then did that event again in the 7th month?

Yes, you can track users who did an event, were inactive for 6 months, and then returned in the 7th month using Mixpanel's Retention report with custom retention brackets. Here's how you can set this up: 1. Use the Retention report in Mixpanel and select the Custom Retention Brackets option 2. Set up custom brackets that align with your 6-month inactivity period 3. Configure the report to show users who did your specific event, then were absent, and returned laterCustom bracket retention gives you the flexibility to split up your retention buckets into customized intervals of multiple days, weeks, or months to create meaningful touchpoints as needed Retention: Measure engagement over time.Alternatively, you could create a cohort using the Cohort Builder with specific criteria to identify these users. The Cohort Builder lets you define precise conditions for user behavior over time, including periods of inactivity followed by reengagement Cohorts: Group users by demographic and behavior. This type of analysis is particularly useful for identifying "resurrected users" - those who have performed an action before, didn't perform it for a period, but then performed it again in a later period, as described in Mixpanel's user base metrics Templates: Generate a board using customizable templates.
