Need Help Counting User Events for Segmentation in Analytics

Hi everyone! I’m trying to segment users by the # of times they did a specific event (for example, a formula like “count( open home page event )” but it seems impossible (tried formulas, there’s no ‘count’ function). Any chance someone can help here? I already want to throw my laptop out the window.

When you say segment, do you mean cohort ? Because there it should be fairly straightforward, e.g.

This sounds like a great use case for the 'Frequency per user' computed property. This computed property can be used to segment users in a report based on the number of times they tracked an event. Not sure on your report type, but for a line chart, the users will be segmented based on the number of times in each time interval (ie, each day). For bar, table, and pie, the interval is the entire date range selected in the date picker
