Issues with Session Replays in Mixpanel: Feedback Submitted

Following. Also having trouble getting session replays to work as expected. Submitted a feedback video through Mixpanel.

I spoke to DJ S. and had a great conversation. I believe a bug was filed internally. I am using Mixpanel EZ Track and experimenting with a transition to Mixpanel’s new Auto Capture ability. In some cases, Session Replay works and in some cases it does not. Also, in some reports, I do not even see Session Replay as an option.

I think I have solved this - not a bug, but user error, sort-of-ish. Cc: DJ S.

Hmmmmmm, when you clicked the dropoff segment of the second step, the expected behavior is actually to show you replays for those 28 users doing Step 1 so you can determine if something went wrong during step 1 that led to them not doing step 2... So we actually would want to show you replays there. I wonder if:
1.
the sample size is too small?
2.
it's due to a race condition where the [Auto] Page View is firing before the SR SDK initializes. Could you try a funnel with events that happen more midway through a user journey and see if that works?
