Merging Property Values for Consistent Data Management

I know there's a way to merge events and event properties, but is there any way to merge property values? My team recently changed one of the property values and I'd love to have continuity on it

I typically do it with a custom property. I use the IFS function to convert the values into a consistent set of values

yeah I've done custom properties before, where I use the same name as the original event and then I hide the original event... but it's kind of a messy solution

We do have the concept of borrowed properties, but not sure this solves what you are actually wanting which is an easier way for property continuity: https://docs.mixpanel.com/docs/features/custom-properties#borrowed-properties

yep, you got it precisely, I'd like a merge option for values, without having to manage custom properties, which are, IMO, too big a hammer for this rather limited use case

I'd say about once a month? I generally ignore it or put it off because if it's not directly affecting reports the CEO or the board are going to look at it's medium priority and medium priority might as well be the trash bin 😄
