Impact of Deleting a Project on Associated Apps and IDs

Hi Sunki, Ana here from Mixpanel's EMEA Support team. Thanks for contacting us! When a project is deleted in Mixpanel, it will not affect the app that's using the deleted project token. However, there are some important points to consider: 1. Data ingestion: Requests sent with a project token that doesn't correspond to an active project (i.e., after deletion) will be discarded once received by Mixpanel. This means that the app will continue to send data, but Mixpanel will not ingest or store it. 2. Successful responses: The same ticket mentions that you will continue to see successful responses from the logs even after the project is fully deleted. This means that the app won't receive error messages when sending data to Mixpanel using the deleted project token. 3. Impact on app performance: There won't be any. 4. Recommendation: Although the app won't be affected, it is recommended to remove the Mixpanel SDK and code referencing it from your app to keep your code clean. Does that make sense?
