Fixing a Bug: Disassociating User IDs in Mixpanel Dashboard

Hi Community, I'm facing an unusual bug in my applications, in one of the instances, the user id got hardcoded in frontend and now multiple visitors on our website are associated with the same mock user id, which was hardcoded by mistake, it's difficult to identify the footsteps of the different visitors who got associated with that Id. Is there a mechanism in the mixpanel dashboard, by which we can disassociate device Ids/Visitors id from the distinct_id (UserIds), which got merged by mistake. I asked the same question to the mixpanel bot (Slack link in thread), but it says nothing mentioned in documentation answers my question

You can locate the users that were associated to the same mock user id by checking the identify history under Distinct ID, create a cohort of the affected users and then fix manually for that set of users
