You can get “monthly average DAU” in Insights by using DAU as the metric and switching the time interval to Month. This plots, for each month, the average of the daily unique users in that month.Steps: 1) Create an Insights report and pick the event(s) that define an active user. 2) Click the measurement selector (e.g., Unique Users), open Advanced, and choose Daily Active Users (DAU). [Users] 3) Set the date range to cover the months you care about. [Date Range] 4) Change the chart interval to Month. This will show one data point per month representing the DAU averaged over the days in that month (i.e., monthly average DAU). If your interval menu seems restrictive, ensure you aren’t using minute/hourly custom ranges or guardrail-limited settings (e.g., very short windows), which can hide longer intervals. [Date Range Guardrails]Notes: - DAU/WAU/MAU are available under the advanced options of Unique Users. [Users] - If you also want a smoothed view, you can apply a rolling average (optional). [Analysis Settings]If your goal is “stickiness” (DAU/MAU) by month, use a Formula: A/B where A = DAU and B = MAU, with interval = Month. [Advanced; Stickiness blog]
