How do I see the average amount of a specific event per user per day? Eg if I have a "add to cart" how can I see the average amount of add to carts per user plotted over time to see if its increasing or decreasing?

To see the average amount of a specific event (e.g., "add to cart") per user per day in Mixpanel, you should use the Frequency per User measurement in the Insights report. Hereβs how you can do it: 1. Go to Insights Report: Open the Insights report in Mixpanel. 2. Select Your Event: Choose the "add to cart" event as the event you want to analyze. 3. Change Measurement to Frequency per User: In the measurement dropdown (usually defaulted to "Total Events" or "Unique Users"), select Frequency per User. 4. Aggregation Option: By default, Mixpanel will show the Average frequency per user. This means youβll see, for each day, the average number of "add to cart" events performed per user. 5. Plot Over Time: The resulting chart will plot this average per user per day, allowing you to observe trends and see if the average is increasing or decreasing over time. This approach calculates, for each day, the total number of "add to cart" events divided by the number of unique users who performed the event that day, and plots that average over your selected time range. You can further adjust the time granularity (day, week, month) as needed.Reference: You can find more details about this measurement and its aggregation options in the Mixpanel documentation: Insights: Visualize trends and compositions within your data / Measurements Additional Aggregation Option Examples
