Adjusting Axes in Mixpanel
You can customize axes in any report visualization that has a y-axis (Line, Stacked Line, Column, Stacked Column, Funnel Steps, Retention Curve). [Chart Customization]
Left & Right Y-Axis Options
For each y-axis, you can configure:
Visibility – Show or hide the axis guides
Label – Set a custom axis label
Axis Unit – Add a prefix or suffix unit to axis markers
Threshold – Set minimum and maximum values to zoom in or out
Decimals – Control decimal places shown (0–8)
Scale – Switch between Linear and Logarithmic scales
X-Axis Options
Visibility – Show or hide the x-axis
Label – Set a custom label
Weekends – Show or hide weekend days on Line and Column charts (visual change only; does not affect alerts or aggregations)
Using a Secondary Y-Axis
By default, all metrics are assigned to the left y-axis. To compare metrics on different scales, you can assign individual metrics to the right y-axis using the Axis Assignment controls — simply select the left or right button for each metric. [Chart Customization] These settings are accessible via the "Chart" tab in the query builder panel (top right of the page), and changes can be saved to your report and board.
