You can create this cohort using the Cohort Builder in Mixpanel. Here's how:
- 1.
Go to the Users tab and open the Cohort Builder.
- 2.
Add a condition: Did event → User Created (at least 1 time in your desired time range).
- 3.
Click + AND to add another condition.
- 4.
Add a second condition: Did not do event → Submit Application (in the same time range).
- 5.
Save and name your cohort.
This will give you all users who triggered User Created but never submitted an application. [Cohort Builder]
Alternatively, you can build this cohort directly from a Funnels report:
- 1.
Create a funnel with Step 1: User Created → Step 2: Submit Application.
- 2.
Click on the dropped-off segment after Step 1.
- 3.
Both approaches will produce the same result. The Cohort Builder approach is more flexible if you want to set specific time windows or frequency thresholds.
