what does it entail to have optimized reentry off in a funnel?

When Optimized Re-entry is off in a Mixpanel funnel, the funnel operates in its default mode. This means: - Only the user's first funnel entry within the report date range is considered for conversion. - If the user does not complete all funnel steps within the conversion window for that first entry, any subsequent attempts (even if they would have converted) are ignored. - For example, if a user triggers Step 1 (A), but does not complete Step 2 (B) within the conversion window, and then later triggers Step 1 (A) again and completes Step 2 (B) within the window, only the first attempt is counted. The successful second attempt is not considered, and the user is counted as not converted. In summary, with optimized re-entry off, Mixpanel does not actively evaluate all possible funnel entries for a user—only the first attempt is counted, potentially underreporting conversions if users try multiple times within the date range Optimized Re-entry.
