In Mixpanel, tags are used to organize and filter events (and other entities) within the platform. When you assign tags to events in Lexicon (Mixpanel’s data dictionary), those tags become available as filtering options in the event menu. This allows you to quickly find and group related events by selecting a tag, which then displays a list of all events sharing that tag. This is especially useful for managing large numbers of events and improving discoverability in reports and analysis workflows Events Menu. You can add tags to events in Lexicon, and these tags will show up as filtering options in the event selection menus throughout Mixpanel. This helps streamline your workflow and makes it easier to maintain data governance and organization Events Menu.
