To know the daily active users (DAU) on your platform using Mixpanel, you should: 1. Go to the Insights report in Mixpanel. 2. Select the event(s) that represent meaningful engagement for your product (e.g., "watched a video," "logged in," etc.). 3. Set the time range to the period you want to analyze. 4. Under the event, change the measurement from "Total Events" to "Unique Users." 5. Choose the "Daily Active Users (DAU)" function. This will show you the number of unique users who performed the selected event within the last 24 hours for each day in your chosen date range. This approach gives you a clear view of how many users are actively engaging with your platform each day. DAU is defined as the number of users who performed the specified event within the last 24 hours Docs: Insights - Users. You can also use Mixpanel’s Starter Board, which automatically includes DAU as a key metric as soon as your data is connected, making it easy to monitor daily active users without manual setup We’re making it simpler and faster to get started with Mixpanel.
