Based on the information in the knowledge sources, Mixpanel does not automatically stop your service when you reach your plan’s event or usage limit. If you exceed your plan allowance, Mixpanel will continue to collect your data and you will be charged for the additional usage at your plan’s additional data rate. The extra charges will be billed at the beginning of the next month. There is no mention of the package stopping or requiring you to manually buy it again for standard paid plans—your plan continues, and you are billed for any overages. If your plan is expiring (for example, if you are on a time-limited plan like the Startup Program), after the expiration you will need to select a new plan (Free, Growth, or Enterprise) to continue using Mixpanel. The Startup Plan, for instance, does not auto-renew for a second free year; after the first year, you must move to another plan to maintain access to Mixpanel services Startup Program details.For standard paid plans, billing is recurring unless you cancel or change your subscription. If you are close to your limit, Mixpanel will send alert emails to organization owners and billing admins at various thresholds (85%, 100%, 110%, etc.) to notify you of your usage Billing FAQs.If you are unsure about your specific plan’s renewal or expiration process, it’s best to check your Organization Settings > Plan Details & Billing or contact Mixpanel Support for confirmation.
