I noticed that there are 2 different types of filtering, inline and global filtering. I checked and by default, te breakdown works in the same way as global filtering. I would prefer to see the breakdown as inline filtering. How can I do that ?

You're right that there's a difference between inline filtering and global filtering in Mixpanel, and that breakdowns typically work similar to global filtering (post-query). To achieve what you're looking for - having breakdowns work more like inline filtering (pre-query) - you can use Custom Buckets. This feature allows you to group existing properties into meaningful segments before the query runs, similar to how inline filtering works. Here's how to use Custom Buckets: 1. Add a property in Breakdown 2. Select the Customize Buckets option from the overflow menu 3. Define your segment buckets based on your needs 4. Click Apply to have the custom buckets reflect in the visualizationThis approach lets you create pre-defined segments that will be applied before the query runs, similar to inline filtering behavior.Custom Buckets documentationFor context on the difference between inline and global filtering: - Inline filters are applied pre-query and affect which events qualify for conversion - Global filters are applied post-query after conversions are calculated - Breakdowns typically work post-query like global filtersFilters documentationIf you're specifically working with funnels, the difference is explained in the Funnels FAQ: inline filters apply pre-query to a specified step while global filters apply post-query based on the property attribution selected.Funnels FAQ
