Based on the information provided in the knowledge sources, there could be a few reasons why you might not be able to use Session Start and Session End events in Mixpanel: 1. Sessions Configuration: Mixpanel computes sessions automatically from the events you send, and you need to configure how sessions are computed in your project settings. As mentioned in the Sessions documentation, Project Admins or Owners can choose between different session configurations in Project Settings.2. Session Computation Method: Depending on your chosen session computation method, the way Session Start and Session End events are generated can vary. The three main methods are: - Timeout Based (Default): Sessions start when a user performs any event and end after a period of inactivity. - Event Based: You define specific starting and ending events. - Property Based: Sessions are based on a session_id property you provide. If you haven't set up the appropriate method, you might not see the Session Start and Session End events as expected.3. Data Recency: According to the Advanced Filter & Breakdown Usage documentation, the drop-down menus only show events/event properties that were ingested within the last 30 days. If your Session Start and Session End events haven't been generated recently, they might not appear in the dropdown menus.4. Excluded Events: As mentioned in the Excluded Events documentation, certain events might be excluded from being tracked as part of a session. Make sure that the events you're using to define session starts and ends are not excluded.5. Implementation Issues: If you're using a custom implementation, there might be issues with how you're tracking these events. The Session Replay documentation suggests testing in a demo project and starting with smaller sets of users to monitor performance. To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend checking your project settings, reviewing your session configuration, and ensuring that you're generating session events correctly based on your chosen method. If you're still having trouble, you might want to contact Mixpanel's support team for more specific assistance with your implementation.
