I apologize, but there seems to be a misunderstanding in your question. Cohorts are actually supported in Insight reports in Mixpanel. Let me explain how you can use cohorts in Insights: According to the Mixpanel documentation, you can indeed use cohorts in Insight reports. Here's how: 1. Visualizing Cohort Size Over Time: In Insights, you can define a metric based on the size of a cohort over time. This allows you to understand how key subsets of your user base are trending over time.2. Filtering by a Cohort: You can use cohorts to filter any of your analyses by selecting a cohort from the filter menu.3. Comparing Cohorts: You can compare the behavior of different cohorts by selecting a cohort from the breakdown menu.As stated in the Mixpanel documentation: "You can visualize how cohorts size over time, use cohorts to filter your reports, or compare how cohorts perform a metric."If you're experiencing issues seeing users of a cohort in an Insights report, it might be due to a specific setup or configuration in your Mixpanel project. Without more details about your specific situation, it's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause. If you're still having trouble, I recommend reaching out to Mixpanel's support team for personalized assistance with your specific use case.

I apologize for the misunderstanding earlier. Now I understand that you're specifically trying to view users at a particular point in time in an Insights report. You're correct that this functionality is available in Mixpanel, and it's called "View Users". Let me explain how you can use this feature: According to the Mixpanel documentation, you can indeed view users contributing to a specific data point in an Insights report. Here's how it works: 1. In your Insights report, you can click on any point on a chart or line to access the View Users feature.2. This will open a View Users overlay that displays the list of users contributing to your chosen point on the chart.3. You can then explore these users' properties and recent activities. For example, if you want to learn more about users who recently signed up at a specific point in time, you can: 1. Click on the relevant point in your Insights chart. 2. Access the View Users overlay. 3. See the list of users contributing to that data point. 4. Click on individual users to explore their User Properties and recent activities. This feature is particularly useful for drilling down into specific data points and understanding the users behind your metrics.Additionally, you can use this feature to: - Save the group of users as a cohort by clicking the Create Cohort button. - Export the list of users to a CSV file.If you're still unable to access this feature in your Insights report, it might be due to specific settings in your Mixpanel project or account permissions. In that case, I recommend reaching out to Mixpanel's support team for personalized assistance.Mixpanel documentation provides more details on this feature, including a video walkthrough that might be helpful for you.

I understand your situation better now. You're trying to use the "View Users" feature for a cohort metric in an Insights report, but you're finding that the option is greyed out and disabled. This is indeed a limitation in Mixpanel's current functionality.According to the Mixpanel documentation on cohorts, cohorts are computed dynamically at the time you use them in a query. This means that when you use a cohort in an Insights report, Mixpanel is showing you the users who are in the cohort as of right now, not a historical view of who was in the cohort at different points in time. The documentation states: "Cohorts are computed dynamically at the time that you use them in a query. [...] it means that the set of users who are in the cohort are users that are in the cohort as of right now; it's not a rolling window of users that have ever been in the cohort."This dynamic computation is likely why the "View Users" option is disabled for cohort metrics in Insights reports. The system doesn't maintain a historical record of cohort membership that would allow you to view the specific users in the cohort at any given point in the past.If you need to analyze how your cohort changes over time or view the specific users in the cohort at different points in time, you might need to use a different approach. For example: 1. You could create separate cohorts for different time periods. 2. You could use event-based metrics instead of cohort-based metrics, which would allow you to use the "View Users" feature. 3. You could export your cohort data regularly to track changes over time manually. If this limitation significantly impacts your analysis needs, I recommend reaching out to Mixpanel's support team or your account manager to discuss your use case. They might be able to suggest workarounds or consider it for future feature development.
