I'm trying to set some event properties to visible (which have been hidden by default). a message which says they have not been included in the data audit. Where do I find the data audit, and how to I make these event properties visible?

To address your question about making hidden event properties visible in Mixpanel, let me provide you with the relevant information:The message you're seeing about properties not being included in the data audit likely refers to Mixpanel's Event Approval feature. This feature is designed to hide new events by default and notify admins when they come in, allowing for review before making them visible. To make these event properties visible:1. Navigate to Lexicon in Mixpanel. You can access Lexicon by selecting the "Data Management" icon in the top navigation menu and then choosing "Lexicon".2. In Lexicon, go to the "Event Properties" tab.3. Find the properties you want to make visible. You can use the filtering options provided to help locate them.4. Select the hidden properties you want to make visible.5. Click the "Unhide" icon that appears when you select hidden properties.6. After clicking "Unhide", the status of these properties should change to "Visible".Here's the relevant information from the Mixpanel documentation::LBKS[Lexicon:: Describe your events and data using a dictionary](https://docs.mixpanel.com/docs/data-governance/lexicon#hiding-data) states:"To show an event or property: 1. Select one or more hidden events, event properties, or profile properties. The "Unhide" icon appears. You can check the "Status" field to determine whether an event or property is visible or hidden. 2. Select Unhide. After you select Unhide, the event or property status changes to "Visible"."Regarding the data audit you mentioned, this might be referring to the Event Approval process. If you're an admin or project owner, you can review new events in Lexicon. The Event Approval documentation explains:"When an admin receives a notification that new events have been ingested, they can click the "View New Events" button, which will take them to a Lexicon view of hidden events. New events will have a "New" tag and be sorted to the top of the list."If you're still unable to make the properties visible or if you're not seeing the option to unhide them, it's possible that you might not have the necessary permissions. In that case, you should contact your Mixpanel project admin for assistance.

Thank you for providing more details about the issue you're encountering. As the project owner, you should have the necessary permissions to make changes, but it seems you're facing a specific scenario related to the Data Audit feature. Let me explain what's happening and how you can resolve this:The message you're seeing is related to Mixpanel's Event Approval feature, which is part of their data governance controls. This feature is designed to help maintain data quality by requiring approval for new events and properties before they become visible in your project. To resolve this and make the property visible, you need to mark it as "expected" in the Data Audit. Here's how you can do that:1. Navigate to your Project Settings. 2. Scroll down to the Data Governance section. 3. Look for the Event Approval toggle and ensure it's enabled. 4. Click on "View New Events" or "View New Properties" (depending on whether you're dealing with an event or a property). 5. This will take you to a Lexicon view of hidden events/properties. 6. Find the property you want to make visible. 7. Mark it as "expected" or approve it. 8. Once marked as expected, you should be able to make it visible. This process is described in the Mixpanel documentation on Event Approval:"When an admin receives a notification that new events have been ingested, they can click the "View New Events" button, which will take them to a Lexicon view of hidden events. New events will have a "New" tag and be sorted to the top of the list. From there, an admin can take any number of actions such as marking the event as visible, adding a description or a tag."If you're still unable to see the Data Audit or the option to mark properties as expected, it's possible that the Event Approval feature isn't fully set up for your project. In this case, you might need to:1. Ensure that Event Approval is enabled in your project settings. 2. Set up email notifications for new events/properties if you haven't already. 3. Wait for the next notification cycle (notifications are sent once per day) to see the new properties in the Data Audit. If you continue to face issues after trying these steps, I recommend reaching out to Mixpanel's support team directly, as they can provide more specific guidance based on your project's configuration.

I apologize for the confusion in my previous response. Based on your latest information, it seems that the Event Approval feature might not be set up or functioning as expected in your project. Let's try a different approach to resolve this issue.Since you're encountering this problem directly in Lexicon, we'll focus on that. The error message you're receiving suggests that the properties are not defined in your project's Data Audit, which is preventing you from making them visible. Here's what you can try:1. First, ensure that you're looking at the correct project in Mixpanel. As the project owner, you should have full access to manage properties.2. In Lexicon, try to find these properties under the "Event Properties" tab. Look for any status indicators that might show why these properties are not visible.3. If you can see the properties but can't make them visible, there might be an issue with your project's data governance settings. To address this, you can try the following:1. Go to your Project Settings. 2. Look for a section related to Data Governance or Data Quality. 3. Check if there are any settings related to property approval or data auditing that might be preventing you from making changes. If you can't find these settings or if adjusting them doesn't solve the problem, this could indicate a more complex issue with your project's configuration.Given that you're the project owner and still encountering this issue, and the standard solutions aren't working, I would strongly recommend reaching out to Mixpanel's support team directly. They will have access to your specific project configuration and can provide more tailored assistance. You can contact Mixpanel support through their Help Center. Explain the exact error message you're seeing and the steps you've taken so far. They should be able to investigate why these properties are not recognized in your Data Audit and guide you on how to properly define or approve them.I apologize that I couldn't provide a direct solution based on the information available in the knowledge sources. This seems to be a specific issue that might require direct intervention from Mixpanel's support team.
