If a global filter is applied in flows , will that filter be applied to all the upcoming events as well in the further steps of the flow?
Hi Raghav K., Please stand by as I search the Mixpanel knowledge base for an AI-powered answer. I normally take about 15 seconds or so. In case AI cannot answer your question, feel free to reach out to Mixpanel support at mixpanel.com/get-support. Yes. In Flows, a global filter (set in the Filters section of the report) restricts which events are included in the entire flow query, not just the anchor step. That means only events matching the filter are considered at every step of the flow visualization. [Flows basics; Reports filters]

Yes. A global filter in any Mixpanel report keeps only data where the filtered property matches the condition; events that don’t have that property at all are treated as “undefined/(not set)” and will not pass a filter like “Property = X”. [Reports filters; Falsy values]So in Flows, if you apply a global filter on a property and a given event in the path does not contain that property, that event will be excluded from the flow results.

The knowledge sources don’t explicitly mention an event‑specific (inline) filter control in Flows like the one that exists in Funnels and other reports, where you can attach a filter directly to a single step/event. They only describe: - Global filters that apply to the entire Flows report. [Reports filters; Flows overview] - Other Flows‑specific controls such as: - Hold property constant (applies across the flow, not per event). [Hold constant] - Hide events, expand by property, breakdown by cohorts, etc., which change how events are displayed, not event‑level filtering. [Hide events; Advanced Flows]Because there’s no documented “inline filter per event” feature for Flows in these sources, I’m not able to confirm a way to do true event‑specific filtering in Flows based on the available documentation.
