Using CRM ID to Track Users Without Email Access

I have a primary identifier as email, but sometimes I don't have access to the email, only a CRM id. Cam I pass the CRM id as well so that I can track users across devices

kapa.ai I am pushing them to the datalayer then fetching them as variables - i assume the autocapture event is being sent prior to the data being pushed into the DL

Adding Event Properties to GTM Autocapture Optional Parameters

I am using GTM and Autocapture - can I add Event Properties to the Optional Paramaters in the tag? Or is this not possible with Autocapture?

Best Practices for Merging User Distinct IDs in Identify

Hi guys, I have a question about Identify (which I found this post but it didn't quite answer my question) What is best practice to merge user distinct ID when they log in? Using Google Tag Manager, I call "identify" on every page load with their email address - the thought being as soon as they log in on a new device, they will get tagged. I am getting this error for each event though "errAnonDistinctIdAssignedAlready", so understand this might not be best practice. Many thanks!
