Syncing Correctly Identified Users with Event Data Using ID Merge API

Hi there, I'm currently facing a problem where some users weren't set correct initially when we started tracking users. We are using the original ID Merge API. We pushed updates, fixed the issue, and users are now identified correctly. My question is, is it possible to somehow sync/merge the correctly identified users with events for users that weren't identified? Thanks
