Issue with Missing Left Panel in Mixpanel Retention Report

I am new to mixpanel and have been learning through the docs. While trying to create a retention report, I do not see the left panel to select metrics. I have attached two screenshots below - (1) what I see, (2) What I am expecting as per docs. Can someone suggest, what could be the possible issue?

There is a little icon on the bottom right. Click it to expand that pane.

Ah.. The pane has moved to the right side. Thank you Andrew S.

once expanded you can then move to the other side.
