kapa.ai In Flows reports with Conversion Criteria set as Uniques, how is the single entry per user determined when a given user would have multiple events on different times/days?
In Mixpanel Flows reports, when the Conversion Criteria is set to Uniques, each user (determined by their distinct_id) is counted only once. Specifically, the single entry per user is based on the first time they perform the Step A event within the selected date range. Even if the user completes the flow multiple times on different days or times, only their first entry is counted towards the conversion in the Uniques counting method. Subsequent occurrences by the same user are not included in the unique count for that flow during the specified period Flows: Conversion Criteria.

For the most absolute view of the performance of a flow, using Totals is generally more comprehensive than Sessions. The Totals counting method counts multiple entries per user—every time a user starts the flow, they are counted, regardless of session boundaries. This means Totals captures all attempts and completions of the flow, providing the broadest measure of flow activity. In contrast, Sessions restricts the count to flows completed within the same session, which may undercount flows that span multiple sessions or do not fit neatly within session definitions Flows: Conversion Criteria.
If your goal is to see the fullest picture of how often the flow is completed, regardless of session structure, Totals is the better choice.
