To create an Insights chart in Mixpanel that shows the average total events per user, using cumulative data month-to-month (rather than standalone, non-cumulative data), follow these steps:
1. Create an Insights Report
Start a new Insights report and select your "all events" event.
2. Set the Measurement
In the measurement dropdown (usually defaults to "Unique Users"), select "Frequency per User" or "Total Events" per user. This will calculate the number of events each user performed in the selected time interval.

Set the time interval to "Monthly" in the date picker or time granularity settings.
4. Enable Cumulative Analysis
In the advanced measurement or analysis settings, enable the "Cumulative" option. This will add up the values of each point on the graph as it goes along, so the height of the line increases over time, reflecting the cumulative count rather than just the events in each standalone month.
