Based on the knowledge sources, there's specific information about timezone handling when using Warehouse Connectors for importing data into Mixpanel. For projects created before January 1, 2023, you need to be careful with timestamps. As mentioned in the documentation about data clean-up with ETL approach: > "If your project was created prior to 1 Jan 2023, you cannot just clean the data you don't want and re-import it. Your data is stored in project time, so you need to adjust the offset before importing" Data Clean-Up documentationFor projects created after January 1, 2023, the raw event data is stored in UTC, as indicated in the Data Pipelines FAQ: > "For projects created before 1 Jan 2023, the raw event timestamps are transformed from Project Timezone to UTC. For projects after 1 Jan 2023, raw event data is stored in UTC." Data Pipelines documentationWhen using Warehouse Connectors, you should be aware that Mixpanel enforces strict validation by default: > "Please do note that warehouse connectors enforce strict_mode validation by default and any events and historical profiles with time set in future will be dropped. We will reject events with time values that are before 1971-01-01 or more than 1 hour in the future as measured on our servers." Warehouse Connectors FAQThe knowledge sources don't explicitly state that event timestamps must be in UTC when using Warehouse Connectors, but they do indicate that you need to be aware of timezone differences between your project and the data you're importing, especially for older projects.
