Understanding Median Frequency Metrics in Mixpanel for Different Timeframes

Hello! When I set frequency metric (example median frequency per user) for last 12 months what is the time frame median frequency is calculated - a month (median of number of events per month per user for last 12 months)? When it's for last 30 days what is the time frame - a day? Or do I have wrong understanding of how frequency is calculated in Mixpanel?

Hi Sandra- Julianne from Mixpanel Support here. Diving right in, it sounds like you're referring to the 'Frequency per User' metric measurement, but please let me know if that's not the case. The measurement will depend on the specific chart. In a Line chart, the frequency will be within the time interval selected. For example, if viewing the last 12 months as a monthly line chart, the median value shown will be the median value for each month. In a bar chart (or other chart that doesn't include a time interval), the median would be the value over the entire 12 months. Inline Attachment: image.png
