Mixpanel to Slack Integration Issues: Is Everyone Affected?

did the mixpanel -> slack integration (the one that expanded mixpanel links in slack) stop working for everyone else or just me?

Have you checked if other urls are unfurling in slack. Is it just slack urls?

yeah everything else unfurls as expected

old mixpanel unfurls are also broken (some of them don't show up even though they were a week ago, and some look like this)

update on this: there was some kind of setting in our slack preferences to block Mixpanel from unfurling, somewhere I didn't have access to; a coworker found it and turned it off, at which point removing and re-adding the app worked in expanding links for me (but not in threads for some reason). It still doesn't work for my coworker... does the app need to be added by each person individually?

Hey Vlad- Julianne from Mixpanel Support here. I'm glad you were able to identify the specific cause of the behavior on your end. If the coworker already updated the preference to allow unfurls again and it isn't being applied, it may be necessary for all users to remove/ re-install the app. The integration does work at the user level to ensure that only reports the user has access to will unfurl in Slack.

there's still one thing... when I post links in threads it just does this, and times out to the second image ; the same link unfurls just fine in a channel or dm

actually, this seems to be happening in channels too... kinda random, I don't know what's happening
