Fixing Inconsistent UTM Data in MixPanel for Facebook Ads Tracking

·
·

UTM data is inconsistent. Hi everyone đź‘‹ We're using MixPanel to track user acquisition->activation conversion and our marketing team is using facebook ads. While some of the traffic is tracked, most is showing as 'not set' for campaign, source, and medium. Sample data in the image for the last 30 days. Is there anything else we need to do to map these 'not set' data? I appreciate any assistance on this matter. Thank you!

June Are you sure that the UTM sources are tagged correctly in your links?

You are tracking “initial UTM parameter” as your primary dimension which only collects data for user’s first visit. You should be using “UTM source” instead which shows you the UTMs for subsequent visits as well.

Thanks for your responses. Ansh, I believe so, they shared with me the link and tested Anuj, thank you I found this yesterday that I should be using attributed by UTM Campaign/Source/Medium in the breakdown instead of just breakdown by Initial UTM parameter. More than 70% of the data now has been attributed with values but about 23% still are 'not set' - is that a normal result? I'm not sure of the baseline
