Using Event Properties for Funnel Breakdown and Conversion Rate

·
·

Hi all! Any idea on how to use properties from the second event in funnel for breakdowns? For example, I want to see a breakdown by event property "name" of event "In-app purchase completed" but also want to see the conversion rate from Sign-Up to Purchase

Hi Maksym, This is Varsha from Mixpanel Support! This is a great question :) To apply the breakdown to a specific event in your funnel, you can select "Segment on Step x" in the dropdown under the "% Conversion Rate". In your case, if you want to apply the breakdown for the second event, you would select "Segment on Step 2" or "Last Step Defined" from the dropdown. Hi Varsha! Thanks a lot! That's super helpful! Also, is it possible to do the same in an "insights" report? Best, To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to .

Hi Maksym, In an Insights report, breakdowns will automatically apply to all events in the query. Here's an example from our demo e-commerce datasets. I have 2 events -- "Sign Up Completed" and "Purchase Completed" and applied a breakdown of the event property "Country". You can now see that the data is broken down by Country for both events. This is built into our UI -- a breakdown applies to all events/metrics on a report. If you want to unselect specific properties, you can, and they will no longer surface on the line chart. Let me know if this makes sense to you! Happy to answer any follow-up questions you have as well. Best, Varsha
