Quick question, how can i see a list property for a user? in the user’s profile page, it’s truncated, and hovering doesn’t reveal anything except 🚫 the “ai bot” is unhelpful as it asks me to look at the event data (this is not an event property), and the other alternative is using the API
Hi Saleh! Julianne from Mixpanel Support here. Diving right in, I'd recommend using an Insight report to see the value. You can analyze 'User Profiles' and then typecast the list-type property to a string in the breakdown to see the exact value. I've generated an example of this in our B2B/SaaS Demo Dataset: https://mixpanel.com/s/1Izh9c. Once the report is generated, you can download the info as a CSV if needed. Inline Attachment: image.png
Hi Julianne B., thanks for the quick hack, I’ll try this for now, but surely there has to be a better way than running an insights report with filters, breakdowns, and typecasting? We should be able to view the user profile in its entirety in the profile page ⚠️
Hovering over the characters of the property should make a small pop-up appear that shows more of the list property. However, it may still not show it in its entirety if the list is long.Inline Attachment: image.png That said, I definitely see how it would be useful to be able to view the property in its entirety on the profile page. I'd recommend submitting your use case and request for this feature via the 'Submit Feedback' form (under the ? menu). This will flag your use case and support of the feature to the Product team, which they use to develop future releases and improvements
Julianne B. that’s the typical behavior, in this case it only shows a 🚫
Do you see that behavior on all list properties or just a specific one? If it's all of them, it could indicate something in the browser that is stopping the pop-up from appearing. Are you able to disable all extensions and see if that allows the pop-up to appear? Or try to see if it shows in a different browser?
