Improving Session Replay: User Feedback and UI Suggestions
some feedback about session replay: one awesome use case for replay is clicking on a set of events in a report and then selecting "watch replays"; however, some of those replays can be quite long (say, half an hour?) and it's not at all clear where the event you're interested in happened... you could scroll through the list of events and try and spot it, but for half a half hour session that's like trying to find a needle in a haystack; I can see a few UI approaches that would solve for this issue, or maybe a combination of them:
when opening replays for specific events, start the replay ten seconds before the event in question rather than at the very beginning
when opening replays for specific events, highlight the events in question with a different color, in both the timeline and in the list on the left
add a way to search/filter for specific events in the replay window
