I’ve been chatting with the wonderful Neha N. the past month or two about some pain points I’ve faced when implementing Mixpanel for WordPress. After a bit of back and forth, I decided I was going to solve my implementation problems, and share the solution on YouTube. I’ve create a new Mixpanel for WordPress playlist on YouTube for anyone looking to implement Mixpanel for WordPress. Checkout the videos here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLh2bEouN-2KLwZxXonQ5wZ1RX-B7c0w_L I plan to cover implementation using the SDK, Mixpanel EZTrack and Google Tag Manager. What else do you want to see?
First three videos in the series: How to Add Mixpanel to Divi for WordPress Using the Javascript SDK https://youtu.be/20y1Q28RzmU How to Replace Google Analytics with Mixpanel EZTrack https://youtu.be/J546c_4snzc How to Add Mixpanel in Elementor for WordPress https://youtu.be/pH5XnBBsVKc
bardovv Most people who use Google Analytics or Mixpanel are not engineers and cannot write the code necessary to use Mixpanel or custom event tracking. Mixpanel EZ Track solves that problem. Mixpanel EZ Track provides event tracking for 24 types of events out of the box. It also provides data to filter and break the events down in Mixpanel. All without having to code anything. It is a great replacement for Google Analytics - it provide more tracking by default than Google Analytics. Take a look at the default tracking options to see what your get - buttons tracking, from tracking, page views, link clicks, etc. It has everything needed to replace Google Analytics. I’m adding more videos to the Mixpanel Playlist that will demonstrate how to replace Google Analytics using Mixpanel + EZ Track.
but is Mixpanel EZ support for everything that Mixpanel has and then has add on stuff or there are certain limitations with Mixpanel EZ
If you are an engineer and comfortable with JavaScript, then manually doing all of your event tracking will be better than EZ Track. If you are a Google Analytics user, without coding skills, then EZ Track is a great way to use and learn Mixpanel. EZ Track provides everything that a website tracker needs and is less confusing than GA4.
Yes, but being officially endorsed by the company would be huge.
People in health IT could use that support.
I was in healthcare IT; not anymore. Been through all those hoops, assessed 12 different platforms. If you need compliance it comes down to Pendo, Mixpanel Enterprise or self-hosted Matomo.
"Not anymore" Don't blame you. Why enterprise? I can get a BAA with the middle/Growth plan.
