Understanding Retention Criteria: On vs On or After Explained

Could somebody help explain the difference between retention criteria: On vs On or After? For example, if i am the only app user. I perform B event on Month 1, 3, and 5 (inactive on Month 2 and 4), how will the retention chart look different between On and On or After? (Already go through the document but still find it unclear) Based on my example will On and On or After count like this?
