Saving Bucketed Custom Properties in Analytics: A Guide

·
·

I have created a local custom property by concatenating utm_source and utm_medium. I apply custom buckets to group this property. Is there a way to save this 'bucketed' version of the property without specifying the bucket in the formula

Unfortunately, I don't have enough information from the provided knowledge sources to directly answer your specific question about saving a 'bucketed' version of a custom property without specifying the bucket in the formula. However, I can provide some relevant information about custom properties and custom buckets in Mixpanel:1. Custom properties allow you to combine existing properties into new properties on the fly using a simple formula language Custom Properties.2. Custom buckets let you group existing properties into meaningful segments on the fly, but they are not saved permanently by default Custom Buckets.3. When you create custom properties, you can save them for reuse across your team. Saved custom properties become available in other reports and to other project members Creating a Custom Property.4. However, the documentation doesn't mention a way to save a 'bucketed' version of a property without specifying the bucket in the formula. If you need to reuse your bucketed property frequently, you might consider creating a saved custom property that includes the bucketing logic in its formula. Alternatively, you could explore if Mixpanel's custom events feature might be suitable for your use case, as it allows for more complex combinations of events and properties Custom Events. For a more definitive answer to your specific question, you might need to consult Mixpanel's support or documentation directly.
