Mixpanel Event Timeframe Limitations: How to Access Historical Data

·
·

Does Mixpanel have any limit for the timeframe of events includes in the reports? I imported events (through Warehouse Data) and some events are from 2016 and following years but in the reports, I can see only events from 2020 onwards. How can I see all the events?

Based on the knowledge sources provided, there are a few important points to address regarding your question about Mixpanel's timeframe limits for events in reports: 1. Event Visibility in Dropdowns: Mixpanel's report dropdown menus hide events that have not been fired within the last 30 days. This is done to reduce clutter from events that are no longer firing. However, these events are still available in the project's raw data, even if they're not visible in the UI dropdowns.Debugging: Validate your data and troubleshoot your implementation mentions: "Mixpanel's report dropdown menus hide events that have not been fired within the last 30 days. The events will still be available in the project's raw data, but will not be visible in the UI."2. Viewing Historical Events: To view historical events that are older than 30 days and don't appear in the dropdowns, you can use the Insights report. Migrating from Google Analytics suggests: "You can leverage our Insights report to validate the historical events, by selecting the import time frame and filtering by the following default properties: - Warehouse Import ID (tracked as $warehouse_import_id) - Warehouse Import Job ID ($warehouse_import_job_id) - Import = true ($import) - Source = warehouse-import ($source)"3. Date Range Selection: Mixpanel allows you to select custom date ranges for your reports, which should enable you to view data from earlier years.Reports Overview states: "Determine the time range of a query by clicking on the date range selector. The date range selector is common across all reports... there are a variety of pre-set options, as well as the option to select a custom date range."To see all your imported events, including those from 2016 onwards: 1. Use the Insights report. 2. Set a custom date range that includes your earliest data (2016) up to the present. 3. Filter using the properties mentioned above (Warehouse Import ID, Import = true, etc.) to specifically target your imported data.If you're still unable to see your historical data after following these steps, it may be worth contacting Mixpanel Support for further assistance, as there might be a specific issue with your data import or project settings.
