Calculating User Retention by Event Property Breakdown

Is there a way to break down users by share of events within a certain event property? I.e. I would like to calculate user retention for users where at least 10% of event X was with event_property Y on their first day. Is this possible? Put differently, can I create cohorts based on users’ breakdown of this event by a property?

Yes, you can create cohorts based on users' breakdown of an event by a property using Mixpanel's Cohort Builder. The Cohort Builder lets you define cohorts based on a precise set of conditions. These conditions can be of the form “Users who did <event> more/less than <some threshold> ” or “Users where <profile property> is equal to/more/less than <value> ”.
