I have a property that I want to send as a list for some events and a string for other events. Does Mixpanel support this?

Mixpanel recommends keeping a property's data type consistent during implementation to avoid any confusion. While Mixpanel does support both list and string data types for properties, using the same property as both a list and a string in different events could lead to confusion and potential issues in your data analysis. For instance, Mixpanel supports five data types for properties: String, Numeric, Boolean, Date, and List. Each type has a specific set of operations that enables richer analysis. A string is useful in capturing textual values, while a list is meant for capturing an array or collection of similar or related values. If you need to use both data types for a certain property, consider creating two separate properties, one for each data type. This way, you can ensure that your data is consistent and easy to analyze. For more details, you can refer to the Mixpanel documentation on Supported Data Types and Property Data Types.

Will Mixpanel allow me to send the property as two different data types depending on the event?
