Yes, Mixpanel provides a way to organize your events using tags. When you use tags in Lexicon, these tags will show up as filtering options in the event menu under "Add Metric" or "Select Step". When you select a tag, a list of events that share the same tag appears. This allows you to automatically group events that have the same tag. However, it's important to note that this doesn't apply to hidden events. For more information, you can refer to the Mixpanel documentation.

kapa.ai This is my use-case: I want to have a metric that contains all events with the same tag and broken down by each event. Is this possible to maintain without having to manually change the board every time a new event is added / modified?

Based on the provided knowledge sources, Mixpanel allows you to organize your events using tags and these tags will appear as filtering options in the event menu. When you select a tag, a list of events that share the same tag appears. However, there is no explicit mention of automatically updating the board when a new event is added or modified. For maintaining the board, Mixpanel has a feature called Lexicon which lets project owners and admins add descriptions for events and properties and organize data for clarity and discoverability. But it doesn't specify if this feature can automatically update the board when a new event is added or modified. For a more specific use-case like yours, it would be best to refer to the detailed Mixpanel documentation or contact their support for a more accurate answer. kapa.ai Is there a way to create a metric that only includes events with the same tag? As in, each time a new event is added or tracked, it is automatically added to the metric. It's doesn't have to use tags, it can also use things like event name
