Hi, Trying to understand if there is a difference in retenion for power users vs casual users. I'm specifically interested in seeing how power vs casual users retention differs for each specific monthi.e. Lets say that power users are users that have done an event 10 times and casual users are ones that have done an event less than 5 timesSo what I would like to see is how users who entered a retention cohort i.e. November 2021 are retained based on whether or not they managed to do the event X or Y times in the month that they entered If I try to do that in Cohorts, the only option I have is setting a rolling 30 day period, but I have a feeling that the cohort is created based on the current date and not the date bucket for the retention periodAny ideas how I could achieve this? Thanks!
I set up a digest last week and it did not go out to anyone yesterday. Any ideas?
Hi, Is there a functionality where I can filter out days like Saturday and Sunday from the line chart? I only want to see the activity on certain days of the week? Let me know if there is any such feature
I’m pulling all events data from mixpanel each day so I can do analysis on it in SQL. I would like to be able to convert that data into sessions but can’t find anything outside a vague description of calculating on the frontend in mixpanel. How would I go about working out sessions from the raw events data?
Should be possible per project to filter:- IP Range- email domain- etcTo enable filtering of internal traffic like is done on HubSpot, HotJar etc.I understand that you want to charge for every event but Mixpanel for me loosing value because I have lot of internal traffic and not too much external and i can't separate them. Please do not say you can filter out users in reports. This is not what I'm requesting. Event's should be not stored at all if filter them on project page. For example how to filter out internal traffic on retention page?Thank you!
If I create a report or dashboard in a development project, is there a way to copy or reproduce this same report in a production project without recreating it manually? Would love this capability (export/import, “copy to”, etc).

ACTIVITY FEED do not show all the pre-identify event after distinct_id and our account_id were already merged. we implement it depending on https://help.mixpanel.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004497803-Identity-Management-Best-Practicessign-up: call alias from server-side login: call identify from client-side logout or sign-out: call reset from client-sideI figured out pre-identify events on the EVENT board are merged into one distinct_id (in the case, our account_id) after calling identify, which is the right way. When I clicked distinct_id, however, pre-identify events do not show on the ACTIVITY FEED.(EVENT link: https://mixpanel.com/project/2607813/view/3141199/app/events#~(dateRange~(type~'in*20the*20last~window~[…]faultType~'string))~showQueryBuilder~true))(ACTIVITY FEED link: https://mixpanel.com/project/2607813/view/3141199/app/profile#distinct_id=436173343685536&~(dateRange~([…]0the*20last~window~(value~30~unit~'week)))) Event list filtered by distinct_idActivity Feed of userI
Hi,I just want to make sure about set up tracking in 2 events:1. First element is <input><input className="form-control" type="email" placeholder="Email" value={email} data-cy="unique_number1" />What is the best way to make an event on input change? Call the script on the "OnChange" attribute? Or I can set up such an event on CSS Selector [data-cy]? (I would prefer second option with CSS) 2. The second case is:<buttonclass="[dynamic_class_name]" tabindex="0" type="button" data-cy="unique_number2">Add user</button>Can I do here such Mixpanel code?:<script type="text/javascript"> mixpanel.track_links('button[data-cy="unique_number2"]', 'Add user', {"property1": "something"});</script>
Hi We are implementing our first Mixpanel project and we have found an issue that we don’t know if we have solved it correctly. Our implementation has users that can login or not to use our product depending if they are in the paid tier or not, if they login, we assign them our internal User ID that comes from our CRM,.We have been able to do the merge id properly and once a user has logged in, the internal user id shows up in the Distinct ID cluster, the problem is that the Canonical ID does not update to our internal ID and remains the random Distinct ID that Mixpanel assigned, so if for example we want to segment all our paid users that have used the product in the last month and email them a training offer, we cannot individually identify them. The solution that we have found is to create a User Profile Property called Internal ID that, if the user is logged in, will show our internal ID and if not, the random ID that Mixpanel generates. Is this the correct implementation?
