hello! I have a sort of complicated custom properties question. I have an event a couple of different lists of objects on it:
groups: [{ name: "Cool group", id: "123abc", private: true }],
posts: [{ groupId: "123abc", category: "Pets" }],
reminders: [{ groupId: "123abc" }]
I’m trying to generate reports that let me cross reference these against each other. For example, I want to compare the count of posts in private groups vs public ones. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to use custom properties to get me there, but I haven’t been able to get there. I’ve been able to look up a group based on the groupId in a posts item, but I haven’t been able to create a property that gives me the posts list with the group data inline so that I can filter based on it. I’m starting to think that I might just need to change my event data entirely and make it more repetitive instead of using custom properties, like this:
groups: [{ name: "Cool group", id: "123abc", private: true }],
posts: [{ groupId: "123abc", groupName: "Cool group", groupPrivate: true, category: "Pets" }],
reminders: [{ groupId: "123abc", groupName: "Cool group", groupPrivate: true }]
Does that seem like a better way to go?
