We have many different pages/places in our app that allows the user to search • Search for a location (Page 1) • Search for a person (Page 2) • Search within a long list of services we provide (Page 3) We have have never tracked search engagement and would love to understand from this group if you have any learning/best practices to share. We want to instrument events in a way that if we add search abilities to more pages/flows, it's done in a way that is scalable Some metrics of interest are • Engagement: What % of users use the search bar vs scrolling? • Conversion Time: Does adding ability to search decrease the time to convert (for those members that convert)? • What is the most common thing searched?
