Dashboard Improvement: When we add a filter on a dashboard, we want to be able to see that filter appear when we click on any report of that dashboard

@cpellows FYI

When you add a filter on a dashboard level you expect that when you click to view a report within the dashboard that filter would be there. Instead you need to manually add the same filter on every report you select to view.

Going forward, when we add a filter on a dashboard, we want to be able to see that filter appear when we click on any report of that dashboard.

@cherise_MixpanelTeam as requested I am submitting all items from @cpellows "dashboard improvements" idea as separate ideas. Please submit submit product gaps and whenever possible provide a status update. Thank you in advance.

Hi @kontriant, @smythdamien,  and everyone following this idea!

Coming in with good news, we’ve just released an improvement to the dashboards' integration with Mixpanel reports. This new feature offers the ability to automatically keep dashboard filters when you click into a specific report from the dashboard.

Which filters does this apply to?

Date period selection

Event, users & cohorts filters

See it in action

Add a filter to your dashboard and click on any report to see how the filters persist when you navigate to the report

@kontriant-

We submitted this as a product gap to our Engineering and Product Development team on your behalf.

Yes please, carry filters (with values selected / deselected) from dashboards through to underlying reports, and vice versa, reports through to dashboards.

Hello @stephanie

Our Commercial teams (Customer Success and Account Management) use 2 Mixpanel dashboards to monitor their clients usage & engagement with our services. The dashboards have 12- 15 reports each. Our teams really want to see past the 6 top values displayed on the report cards within the dashboard.

Being able to filter a dashboard and then click on a report card (within that dashboard) and see that report filtered would be hugely beneficial for us.

Do we have any update from the product / engineering team on this? Again thank you for your support here.
