Using Mixpanel to power in-app analytics

We’re building a SaaS application that has both administrators & regular users. We want to be able to show administrators analytics about their users from within our application.

We’re considering using Mixpanel to power these in-app analytics because we already use Mixpanel data to track event data. Does anyone have experience using the Mixpanel API to power in-app analytics? Are there limitations that we should be aware as to why this might not be a good idea? There are services like Keen.io that offer this service more directly, but I’m curious if it’s possible with Mixpanel (which is cheaper + we already use them)

@Mayhul  yes it very much possible to power analytics using Mixpanel. Mixpanel provides API to get the data out. The only thing to keep in mind is the delay in data availability. It is not as real time.
