We have multiple products using the same Mixpanel project id so that we can associate activity across the different applications. We had a bug where on one application, we weren't using the same mixpanel id for users, so we ended up with duplicate entries in our system. It would be great to have a way to merge these two users together so their events are in a single linear timeline.

Hi @mark,

I realize it’s been a while since you posted, but we just released an update called “ID Merge” that will allow you to understand the entire user journey, from their first pre-login interaction to post login usage.

ID merge improves the behavior of identify() and adds a new method called Merge(). Merge allows you to use multiple identities from different sources to refer to one user, which would fix the problem you outlined.
